What Happened to the 2003 Parade?

Parade Day, 2003

A few pictures taken on February 17, 2003 at 1 p.m.

(Just so you will know what you missed!)

Snow depth at Reagan National Airport is officially recorded at 15.0 inches on that day. The most snow since Parade Day of February 19, 1979 when we had 22.1 inches of snow.  These two days represent the only times the Parade was canceled in the past 30 years!

During the past 30 years, the average daily temperature on Parade Day has been 40.5 degrees and the average precipitation has been only 0.09 inches!

We hope to see you all on February 15, 2010!

Even George stayed inside!

Is there a Parade Marshal under that hat?
