Free Parade Day DASH Shuttle Bus Service!
On Parade Day, parking is free at some parking lots adjacent to the Eisenhower Avenue Metro Station. Parking in this area will save you from the difficulties associated with parking in Old Town! z Free DASH shuttle bus service will take you from the vicinity of the Eisenhower Avenue Metro Station to downtown (to the intersection of Prince & Washington Streets, near the Lyceum...one block from the Parade Route) and back continuously from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. z Also...DASH operates the free “DASH About” service from the King Street Metro Station...East & West with stops along King Street...to Washington Street. (Normally this service will take passengers to Fairfax Street, but the Parade Route will necessitate stopping at Washington Street.) Alexandria City Street Closings and Restrictions. On Parade Day, all streets on the Parade Route and in the Assembly Area will be posted to prohibit vehicle access and parking commencing at 10:00 a.m. until the end of the Parade.
